Drilling Engineering Services

DRILLING ENGINEERING

Basis of Designs and/or operational procedures for Casing/Well design, directional planning, BHA configurations, drill bit selection, drill string design, fluid design (Mud) and annular pressure mitigation.

COMPLETION ENGINEERING

Basis of designs and/or operational concept identification , selection and detailed planning. Completion types range from single, multi-zone, sand control and stimulation.

WELL ENGINEERING

Prepare drilling and completion programs, assist with planning and execution. Provide advanced well engineering services including thermal simulations, expandable casing and liner hanger design.

EXECUTION/OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

Operational support on the day to day drilling/completion operations, shore-base coordination and logistics. Support can be provided in house or at client's offices.

GEOLOGY SUPPORT

Formation evaluation and geo-hazard well site analysis/assessment, specifically:

  • Pore pressure/Frac gradient prediction
  • Active channels and turbidity currents
  • Active faulting and seismicity analysis
  • Shallow hazard analysis e.g. gas
  • Metocean analysis
  • Gas hydrates prediction
  • Seabed morphology

COST CONTROL

Rigorous cost control support from wells estimating to post well AFE closure. Some examples are :

  • Estimating wells costs using industry benchmarks and cost norms
  • Contracting strategy support
  • Procurement management
  • Daily wells cost control

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

  • Fulfill BSEE requirements
  • Relief Well design
  • Licensed Engineer review and approval
  • End of well reporting
  • HSSE reporting
  • Well Control and Well Prognosis

SCREENING ASSESSMENT FOR INVESTMENTS IN FARM-INS, ACQUISITIONS, EXPLORATION PROSPECTS ETC.

  • Identification of field or prospect lifecycle development concepts.
  • Economic assessment of a field or prospect development potential.
  • SWOT analysis of company considered for acquisition

ROOT CAUSE FAILURE ANALYSIS

Engineering investigations when it comes to material or equipment failures.
